Fee for service
We are now offering fee for service for taiohi who aren’t required to be engaged on any of our START Taranaki main programmes. This service is designed to cater for the outlaying needs of the individual and is available as a fee for service for any agencies struggling to find support for their taiohi.

CPI Training (formerly MAPA)
We are now offering CPI (MAPA) training for any organisation who requires more in depth understanding and de-escalation techniques for their staff.
“CPI Safety Intervention™ Foundation training formerly known as MAPA®, incorporates trauma-informed and person-centred approaches. The programme is the perfect solution for professionals working in health, social care, and education who need to prevent and/or intervene in crisis situations. With a focus on prevention, it also teaches staff de-escalation skills as well as non-restrictive and restrictive interventions. Training Certified by Bild-ACT under the Restraint Reduction Network Training Standards.”

Music therapy / music studio
START Taranaki are pleased to introduce our music studio which offers a range of services including music therapy, studio recording sessions and various workshops with experienced producers, rappers and musicians.
These services are tailor-made for individual cohorts and booking is essential
